Thank you for considering to be part of our volunteer team. As a volunteer, you represent the spirit of the Berlin Salsa Festival. We are happy to welcome you, and at the same time, we count on your reliability and mindfulness. Please read carefully:

1. Positive Energy & Team Spirit

• Bring good vibes, reliability, and a helpful attitude.

• Be on time, engaged, and ready to support.

2. Working hours and deposit

• Up to 11 hours during the weekend (in up to 2,5h shifts with 2h breaks). €49 deposit as a commitment guarantee, refunded after the festival once all tasks are fulfilled responsibly.

3. Scheduling & Breaks

• Shifts are always up till 2,5 hours, followed by at least 2 hours break.

• Please note: you cannot choose your exact shift times. We will do our best to balance work and dancing opportunities, but flexibility is required.

4. Commitment & Reliability

• Unexcused delays, no-shows, or leaving shifts early disrupt the whole team and will result in losing your deposit.

• Repeated lack of engagement or mistakes that cause disruptions can lead to suspension from the volunteer team.

• At the reception, please be especially mindful: check tickets and passes carefully. Allowing unauthorized entry (even by mistake) is a serious matter and will lead to losing the deposit and possible suspension.

• Please understand that “only-one-day” volunteering or last-minute changes are not possible. Joining the team means committing to the full weekend.

5. Customer Service

• Treat every festival guest with respect and care. You are the face of the festival.

• Help us improve by passing on feedback and keeping an eye out for participant needs.
