Alberto valdes
Alberto Valdés is one of the most established figures in Cuban dance, with a career shaped by performance, choreography, and teaching at an international level.
Born and trained in Cuba, his foundation is rooted in a system where technique, musicality, and cultural understanding are inseparable. He became widely recognized through his work as a principal dancer and choreographer with Ballet Rakatan, one of Cuba’s most influential dance companies, touring extensively across Europe, the United States, and Asia.
His movement is defined by clarity, control, and a strong cultural identity. Drawing from Afro-Cuban traditions, Cuban folklore, and contemporary stage work, Alberto combines technical precision with depth and intention — dance that is both refined and grounded in its origins.
Alongside his stage career, Alberto has built a solid international reputation as a teacher. His methodology is structured and demanding, focused on developing dancers beyond patterns and choreography.
